Being awarded an honorary degree for her efforts in assisting victims of domestic abuse has had a profound impact on her life.
Melanie Brown, also known as Mel B and a former Spice Girl, has stated that receiving an honorary degree for her contributions to supporting domestic abuse victims has significantly impacted her life.
The singer and activist was presented with the award by Leeds Beckett University during a graduation ceremony held on Monday. Brown, who became an advocate for those affected by domestic abuse following her departure from an abusive relationship, equated the importance of the accolade to the experience of performing at Wembley Stadium with the Spice Girls.
